The Return of the Aquala Bondage Suit

The Return of the Aquala Bondage Suit

My Fellow Inmates,

in 2006 I purchased an Aquala rubber Dry suit from Ebay. It was an XL as I was about 230 at that time. I had a lot of fun with it, however as body sizes usually do, mine changed. I had just gotten out of a relationship and decided to go to the gym and get myself back in to shape.

The only problem with these styles of life changes, when one is a gear perv, is all of a sudden you find yourself with gear that is way too large, and sadly the Aquala suit being an XL when I was wearing size Small was like swimming in rubber. Now as fun as that concept sounds there is a such thing as a suit just being way too big. So I found myself with a beautiful drysuit that only hung in the closet collecting dust.

In 2007 I began chatting with Bodisama, otherwise known as James Hatton, who was just getting his company Devil Dog Rubber up and off the ground. James and I hit it off real well. We had a lot of the same interests, and since I was helping him with product ideas to make as well as we were beginning to get close, James wanted to do something for me to thank me for everything that I had done.

He was aware of the Aquala that just hung in the closet & he asked me what I was going to do with it. At that time in life I really didn’t need the money, and it seemed a shame to just sell it, so I was really torn on what its fate was to be.

James asked me if I ever considered Modding it. I laughed in response and told him yes I had thought about what I would do to it if I had the knowledge, however I didn’t and the time and energy it would take to turn the dry suit in to a bondage suit & would probably be more than Id want to pay someone else to alter it for me.

So James had me lay out for him exactly how I saw the suit & he had me ship it to him.

A year went by…

And in the process of that year I had went to visit James & we also had a falling out. I told him at that time to ship me back the suit & not to worry about it. I received no response.

Another year went by & we were going to do a large party for my birthday. On a whim I sent James an invite figuring he wouldn’t want to fly across the US to see us as I had now not spoken to him in a year. To my surprise he accepted.

When he arrived at the party he pulled me aside so we could talk. We put to rest some of our old issues & he said he had a gift for me.

He pulled out the completed suit to my shock & amazement. I had long since written it off and was not expecting to see it completed.

A month later James had passed away…

The suit stayed in use until it was taken to a party where a Top inadvertently popped a rivet by trying to pull his ropework tighter than one of the D-rings would allow. After searching for a while to get it fixed, and finding out no one wanted to touch the suit as no one wanted to be the one that accidentally hurt it while trying to fix it, it went in to storage so no more damage would come to such a special suit.

That was 6 years ago.

The other day a good friend of mine found out what happened to the suit and dressed me down for it. He asked me if James would want to see his creation just rotting away in a box…

After putting some thought in to it he was right, so yesterday I dug the suit out, put it through a vivishine bath & fixed a few things that had cropped up due to storage.

I’m proud to say that one of Devil Dog Rubber’s most impressive builds is back for play use, and if it get damaged in the process of play or falls apart due to being used then that’s a much better use of the gift James gave me. Also I would guess that this is what he would have prefered as well.

With that visiting time is over, whatever you do don’t scream too loud as others are trying to sleep
