My Fellow Inmates,

As you may have noticed the Asylum has taken a few steps back in the last 6 months or so… both the site and the actual person. We are fully aware of the issues and trust us, we are far from finished with this whole roller coaster ride… in fact we are just getting started.

So what happened?

Well personally speaking its been a year, a great year of change that has seen 4 breakups for me… Yes, 4… This either makes me a glutton for punishment or someone training to be all pro. As mamma always told me, stick with what you are good at.

If you have followed this site for a while, or my twitter, then you have been with me through all these ups and downs: My times with Rottie, Wetsuitjay, Nonamepup  and Phor. The closeness, the fun times, the downturns, and the partings of ways as well. All a fact of life, yet one would hope they were not so clustered together

So Where does that leave me? 

Very happy actually.

Allow me to tell you a funny story…

I am sure as many of you have noticed, Anji has pretty much taken management of this site over. Most of our posts are by him now. Though I have talked in the past about Anji’s path here, let me share some things you don’t know about my current family.

At the end of July I opened my home to the pup. Many said “Uh, don’t”, but I live my life on a “Let them hang themselves” philosophy. Anji needed a family and I offered him one. As the months went by we realized that he was going to need insurance. The only way to get him on my insurance was to make him either my BF or my domestic partner. He was our pup already so it didn’t matter. 

As time went on, and my BF and I grew apart, Anji and I grew closer. Now before you say it yes, he does have aggravating ways… I also have paddles and canes. He learned quickly that he can push me, but when I push back its time to listen or face the consequences. This works for us quite well. He is a sweet and many times surprising creature who never ceases to amaze. He is growing as well, and I am very proud of him.

Hmm, I got sidetracked… where was I, oh yes…

So a few moths ago Washington state voted to make Gay Marriage Legal. With that the state decided to toss in the typical backlash of “Oh fine, you want this, well then all domestic partnerships shall be now marriages as of 2014… take that faggots!!”

Half my shit…

I have thought long and hard about this. I have never had any luck with anything long term. Yet, as I was lay in bed one night, with my pup in my arms, I realized .. I have never been this happy before with someone in my life. Ok sure we have disconnects, what relationship doesn’t? In fact like the guy who keeps to himself his whole life until he finally snaps and goes on a murderous rampage, Id be terrified of a relationship that had no issues…

So yes… it appears I shall be getting married, and I am happy for it.

…and to a pup who moved in to my home before I ever met him…

LOL, how life works out sometimes.

Now as for the site… Yes, we are aware of the breaks. Rather than just placing band-aids on an issue we are going to use this as an excuse for bigger and better things. My former IT pup, Moose, has decided to step back, and shall continue hosting the site, and will offer consulting when we need it. We have a new Site Building Pup coming in, and I would expect to see some major changes soon. 

What kind of changes?

Well without going in to too much detail I have always envisioned this site as a place to be and hang out. I have always looked at where we are now as just a part of a larger whole. My goal for this year is a total new face for this site…

New domain names are already registered…

The construction begins soon.

My Fellow Inmates…

You know its funny to me, I have heard from many over the last month… wondering why I let the new pup just run free and run wild. Pointing out to me how he was disrespecting me, getting mad at him for having an opportunity and pissing one me… and questioning why I wasn’t beating the hell out of him for his actions…

Well, I addressed all of this in his contract he signed today

You see, one would not let a mechanic work on their car who had no idea why it was broken…

So I let him be him for a month, and observed what type of person he was, where the breaks were, where the issues were and where the need for improvement was. 

Today I wrote his contract, and today he signed it. He is well aware you shall all read this….

Here it is… the puppy contract he signed….

Puppy Contract

Intent:

To Assist Anji (Forward referred to as puppy or Dog) in his training: To spell out expectations , tasks, punishments, and goals for the life of this 1 year training contract. By signing the puppy agrees that he is entering this agreement on his own free will and agrees to abide by the terms of this contract and submit himself for punishments as seen fit by his trainer: Rubberasylum.This contract is terminable by either party if they are unhappy with said agreement, or it is not working for them. This contract is tied to the puppy’s relationship, housing and food agreement, and if terminated all other agreements shall be null and void as well. This stated, there is no requirement for the puppy to sign this contract except for the want to change the path that he has been on, and to potentially better his future.

Observations:

For the last month the puppy has been allowed to do his thing, he has been asked to perform tasks to see how he would react and has had no punishment for failure to comply.

-Positives-

The dog is sweet and loving, he seems to genuinely want to please those that he belongs to, often appearing surprised and upset at himself when he is chastised for his mistakes or others are upset by his actions/choices. He takes care of expectations when pushed or focused on. He is emotionally supportive of those he cares for. The puppy has an amazing amount of potential to be a person that others would actively seek out to be a part of their lives.

-Negatives-

He has a tendency to be disrespectful, focused upon himself,and expecting a free hand. Whether lack of want to accept responsibility or lack of a strong hand to teach it to him, he seems to be at want for none. He is reactive rather than proactive., needing to be directed rather than finding projects himself. He has an untrained dog’s tendencies; often biting the hand he expects to feed him,. He has been known to make promises that he does not follow through on, causing others that were relying on him to have to scramble to complete what is needed to be done. He utilizes his creative mind to find ways around being told no,often to his surprise when others are upset, and he has a tendency to bury himself in social media and video games at inappropriate points causing him to put off expectations and seem standoffish to others. Needs to be mindful of tone when addressing his trainer.

Goals:

• Learn to self manage himself and separate what is expected of him from what he prefers to do.
• Learn to accept criticism no matter how hard to hear, asshole bosses exist in this world and the dog needs to learn to accept feedback and productively use it without arguing about it.
• Learn that life is not fair, and if you fight for yourself hard enough you can make anything happen
• Learn to do for himself
• Learn to save for his wants while taking care of his needs
• Learn to drive and obtain a drivers licence
• Obtain a real job and learn to be a contributor to a household

Expectations:

As the dog grows so shall the expectations of him. Until the dog learns to accept criticism and orders without question, he shall not be allowed active employment ,his job shall be working around the house.

• The dog’s housemates are working, so shall the dog. The puppy shall search the house daily for projects needing to be done, he is only awarded a day off when given permission to do so. He will message his trainer and ask before playing video games, playing on his phone, or doing anything else for himself. If permission is given, and his trainer returns to find any project the dog could have taken care of undone, the dog will be punished.
• The dog is lowest member of this house. if he is asked to take care of something by a housemate he will take care of it immediately. if he has to be asked twice he will be punished. If the dog disagrees with something a housemate has asked of him, he will immediately message his trainer of his concern to receive permission to decline the request. if permission is not given the dog will perform the requested task or be punished. (this does not include sexual demands as the expectation would be that the housemates would ask your trainer first)
• Any requests made by the dog’s housemates or trainer shall be received and addressed without attitude or argument. This training is by the dog’s request, making training an uphill battle shall result in punishment.
• In the presence of company the puppy’s requests/demands/preferences do not trump those of the guests’. Should there be a discrepancy between preference and ‘wants’ between the puppy and the guest; the favor will go to the guest by default.
• The dog shall not accept any more freebies, presents, handouts, gifts, assistance, etc in the form of gear, money, tickets, airplane tickets, registration, etc. unless it is a christmas or birthday gift statedly given on or during Christmas or his birthday. This includes people offering extra gear that does not fit them anymore. If the dog has any questions on this he needs to speak to his trainer before accepting or face punishment.
• The dog shall post at least twice a day to the website, and shall now be writing a journal that will go up once a week after it is approved by his trainer. If the dog has a hard time writing or knowing what to write for his journal he should work on it slowly during the week, failure to comply shall result in punishment.
• The dog needs to understand that posting to Social Media directly affects how others view him. Everything the dog puts up is viewable by all and is quickly reported back to the dog’s trainer when a questionable post appears. If the dog wonders if a post is questionable he should inquire about it before posting. Failure to comply to this shall result in punishment.
• The dog shall now always ask permission to play video games. Defaulting to them shall get them taken away. Unless otherwise given permission to do so the dog needs to attempt to focus his video game play on a social aspect rather than an anti social aspect. This means asking others to play, playing games that include a second player or the household, asking someone to play through a one player game with him… etc. If the dog is not given permission to play video games he shall not.
• The dog shall investigate and attempt new hobbies. Many opportunities exist around this house and from friends such as: Music mixing, fursuit making, working on cars, expanding your drawing abilities, building gear, latex work, and more. Skills are marketable and make for a more varied life and opportunities.
• The dog shall be given a cell phone to use that is connected to his trainers account. The dog shall learn appropriate and inappropriate use and times to use his phone, or it shall be shut off and the dog can go without.
• The dog shall be expected pushups and situps daily, going on runs with roommates shall forgo his daily requirement, as long as that can be vouched for. The dog shall be expected to grow in strength, and shall be tested randomly on his progress. Lack of progress or failure to work out shall be punished
• Upon signing this contract you now have a Sir. If you need assistance in utilizing this word, your trainer is happy to help.

Punishments:

It is not the dogs place to decide when he is in the wrong or not. The expectations set forth shall be enforced. If the dog disagrees or argues at the point he is advised of a punishment, the punishment shall end up exponentially worse.

The dog shall be warned of offending behavior before he is punished for it, reoccurring offending behavior shall skip the warning stage as the dog then knows better. the following are potential punishments that the dog may face:

• A Chastity device shall be purchased for the dog, once locked in he shall stay in for the period of days stated, any further offenses will add time to his chastity. Once in chastity the dog needs to earn his way out.
• A Spiked Chastity device shall be purchased for the dog, once locked in he shall stay in for the period of days stated, any further offenses will add time to his spiked chastity. Once in spiked chastity the dog needs to earn his way out.
• The dog can end up locked in his cage during gatherings or parties he would prefer to be a part of, or sent to sleep in his cage rather than sleeping on his side of the bed.
• Spanking
• Paddling
• Caning
• Denial of gear, play, cons, trips, outings, etc as your trainer sees fit.

Rewards:

Moving forward in life is never easy. Changing oneself is never easy. The dog shall find that overcoming major challenges shall come with rewards to him as well. Though said rewards shall not be stated here, trust that as easily as bad dogs are punished, good dogs are rewarded as well.
